Dream

The last two episodes of “Criminal Minds” invaded my dreams, and I dreamed a marvelous episode that extrapolated from them.

When I relayed the story idea to my daughter, she commented that I was now stealing story ideas from the future, along with assorted inventions and things. She’s lived her whole life with me and has seen how I search the stores for things I just know exist and I want one really badly. Only I can’t find whatever it is in the stores, so I end up making it myself, and then, 10, 15, 20 years later, there it is. In the store, just exactly as I was searching for it.

Now, she’s convinced I am plucking scripts out of the future.

Half a dozen times, I’ve commented on what a future episode should be, and a season or two later, there’s the episode I described to her.

I think I’m just reading the Patterns very well and have learned the mind of script writers and Hollywood producers far too well.

Still, this particular dream of a “Criminal Minds” episode begs to be aired and aired soon. So, I’m going to “air” it here, for the first time. And if “Criminal Minds” produces a similar episode, well, I dreamed it first.

The last two episodes, there was this serial killer calling himself Raphael. Spencer Reed was captured, tortured, drugged, and made to choose who would live and die – all shown on the internet in a viral video. It was very traumatic for him. They showed a scene where Reed took some drugs from the dead Raphael’s pocket.

The viral video became the basis for the episode I dreamed.

Raphael kept taunting Reed about being an angel. He didn’t go far enough, some people felt who were hooked on the video. They plot and plan a way to find out if Reed really is an angel on Earth. The group of people schism, one group wanting Reed to be a heavenly angel, and the other convinced Reed can only be a fallen angel, a demon. Between them, they create a test that will satisfy both groups.

The groups need to find a “perfect virgin” who will become the sacrifice to determine Reed’s affiliation. Because there are two groups doing this, the deaths of the women abducted and determined to be flawed doesn’t get connected until they find Mercy Adams, abduct her, then abduct Reed.

Reed is placed in a cage and told he has to use his angelic powers to save the woman. How he saves her will determine if he is a good angel or a demon. For some reason, these people are convinced that Reed genuinely is an angel and that he really will save the woman. It never enters their head at any point that Reed is human.

They then crucify the woman and set her up in the same room as Reed, who is locked in a cage. A real time internet camera is trained on them to record what they do as Mercy slowly dies on the cross, and Reed does his best to think of a way to save her.

He does find a way to save her, a way that amazes Garcia, just moments before the rest of the Quantico team arrives to rescue Reed – after they find and arrest the two groups.

The story jumps between Reed and Mercy, the Quanitco team piecing together what’s going on, Garcia’s research, and the groups themselves. I dreamed some truly awesome lines, but I need to verify that the information is as legit as it sounded in DreamTime. Someone’s going to have to check the math, too, because while I can speak mathish in philosophical terms, I cannot do so in scientific terms. I know who I can get to help check the physics. The literary quotes were no-brainers, as were the song quotes, and a lot of the theology Reed and Mercy discuss.

There were a lot of good lines in this dream. I think it’s one of my better dreams, myself.

A good thing about this dream? The internet video will cause Reed more concerns in the future.

An even better thing about this dream? Tonight’s episode seems to be paving the way for my dream episode to really be filmed and aired.

I think I have really good dreams. They keep me entertained.
