So Time Magazine has an article (actually, it’s even the cover article) garnering sympathy for Bush as “the lone ranger” – portraying him as the underdog fighting the battle for Congress all on his own.

I can’t feel sorry for Bush, though. A man who is so certain that everything he does is, must be the right thing, regardless of facts, regardless of what the rest of the country needs. His way is the One True Right and Only Way. Every one else is evil and wrong and must be controlled or exterminated.

I can’t buy into that, and I can’t feel sorry for the man.

He raped more than one country following his way. That most Americans are in denial and attempting to make excuses for his behavior only tells me just how badly he hurt America. I don’t use the term “rape” lightly, it’s just that there is no other proper word for what Bush has done and is still doing to America.

What he did to Iraq was even worse. He only raped America, he hasn’t yet resorted to beating and abusing us in visible ways – no broken bones on us. He pounded on Iraq, blowing htem up, leaving them bruised, broken, homeless, frightened and with nothing left to lose. They are in a terrifying position for Americans, and, once they realize it – a freeing one for themselves. They truly have nothing left to lose since Bush took it all away from them. They can strike back with utter impunity because whatever we do to them can’t be any worse than what we’ve already done. They’ve suffered in ways many Americans can never imagine.

And much as I hate blaming something so awful on one person, it is obvious that Bush’s utter certainty is what is to blame for the brutal raping of Iraq and the more insiduous rape of America.

I am utterly bug0eyed at the denial going on here in America.

I am utterly stunned that not enough people are standing up in outrage at what has been and is happening, that there hasn’t been a concerted adn unanimous call for impeachment.
