Consequences

If you can force your way through this woman’s terrible writing, here’s just one of the cases I predicted would happen when the USA PATRIOT Act was passed.

If you can’t stand reading her excreble writing, here’s a brief rundown behind the cut:

Elsebeth Baumgartner and Bryan DuBois have been imprisoned and at least Dr. Baumgartner is being held without access to visitors, phone calls, or mail. Dr. Baumgartner is being held on a $360,000 bail and Mr. DuBois on a $150,000 bail for alleged crime of exercising their First Amendment rights. They were arrested the day after they filed a federal lawsuit against Robert Taft, the governor of Ohio, and other state officials. They are being accused of being “paper terrorists” because they publish documentation of misconduct by public officials, including judges.

Innocent or not, they don’t deserve to be held imprisoned without outside access as if they were the worst sort of violent criminals.

Better writing is available at Erie Voices, the blog Baumgartner and Dubois have.
